You are copying the ENTIRE card contents onto your hard drive right? Also, how are you copying them? Once you have copied the card data, the folder that contains the card contents as they were on the card is the folder you should select when doing L&T.

You need to have the Canon EOS movie plugin installed on your computer and bring them in via log and capture as pro res. You shouldn’t have a problem doing this.

Glad you found a fix. If it happens again maybe try a keyboard reset under the customize keyboard menu. Strange that it did that for you.

Check your keyboard layout. Does it have actions assigned to it in FCP?

You can’t export to flash with Final Cut. You will have to use something like Sorenson Squeeze or Adobe Media Encoder.

A better way is to set yourself up with a Vimeo or YouTube channel, upload your videos their using H.264 compression and embed your Vimeo or YouTube videos strait to the website.

You can take this to color and use the HSL Qualifier, key on luma that specific region and try and reduce the highlights.
If this shot does not have a lot of motion, you could duplicate this clip. On the top clip reduce your highlights. Then mask that portion only with a bit of feather.
That background may be too blown out to salvage, but give it a shot.

Use copy and paste attributes to keep the filters you’ve applied to the other clips.

Check the autosave vault for earlier versions of your project. Now if you have that turned off….that is not good.
