    Hello,
    I am using final cut pro 7 and I am currently making a movie. I finished 2 sequences, but now want to start another, and it wont accept any of my clips I am importing. I am using a canon 7d, and the clips wont import with any of the settings i chose, or it wont auto set the settings.
    anyone know of this??

    And those settings are what?

    Did you convert your footage to a proper editing codec first? The 7D records in h.264 which is NOT an editing codec.

    **Hindsight is always 1080p**

    I tried to convert the clips to apple pro res 422, and that still didnt work. I have imported them before and they went in fine, and ushually final cut will auto set the settings but it isnt doing this.
    I am shooting in 1080×720 in 60 fps.

    You need to have the Canon EOS movie plugin installed on your computer and bring them in via log and capture as pro res. You shouldn’t have a problem doing this.
