    Adobe made extra sure that mac7 and pc 7 after effects would be fully compatible. Just make sure that your CD-R is. iso-9660 works for both pc and mac drives.

    Your memory is making you crash because AE is locking up.
    Reset your Preferences->Memory and Cache
    Maximum Memory Usage at 120%
    Maximum RAM cache size 60%

    Disable disk cache

  • This is how good primatte keyer is. I got this with a few clicks of the mouse, no photoshop. And this is with just a thumbnail! The full sized video would be even better.

  • Here comes the “if you are broke rebuttle…”

    You can use hard lights from hardware stores then diffuse them. You can use amber gells to cut down light spill if you don’t have a large keyer. Outdoors works fantastic at a 45 degree angle to matte if you have no lights but use green for matching outdoors, because blue being keyed outdoors and indoors doesn’t match saturation to itself.

    and…

    Upload a TGA, TIFF or BMP at the highest quality to an upload site and post link. I’ll try keying it as a single image with Primatte Keyer. I have keyed worse for clients b4.

    If you have a sony camcorder, you can simply plug your VCR into its rca plug and export directly to dv firewire premiere pro capture.

    The Canon HV20, if captured to dv tape, will lose chroma that will blur and bleed, flickering ugly into the interlaced lines, making reverse 3:2 pulldown irrecoverable.You will have to be always capturing HDMI with a long, long cable to a computer capture black magic card. That method is very clean and pretty but, it’s up to you to have an unmovable recording platform or not.

    If you really are broke, you will need to learn expressions
    for coding your own corner pin. or just buy a cheap plugin instead of professional.

    since laptops don’t have extended keyboards, either use a virtual keyboard software plugin for laptops or run an autohotkey script that attaches any keypress you want to send any other key back to the keyboard buffer. One example is…

    #SingleInstance force ;only open once
    F1::Numpad0 ; Makes the ‘F1’ key send a ‘numpad 0’ key

    paste that into a text file ending with .ahk and install autohotkey

    take a 10.1 megapixel camera. Backlight an actual toy disk and take a picture. Rotate it in AE. 90% of work done! With 10.1 mp you can zoom in really far like a microscope with no grain! Motion track and add your own pictures to the slides. Use bezel for 3d shutter and add plastic texture.

    This might be work if you use this effect very, very small. Time shuffle in a micro ammount might look similar to strobe.
