Creating the View-Master effect?
I’m attempting to create the look of the inside of the View-Master toy for an ending credit sequence.
I want the rounded corners of the frame seen in this photo:

I want those two orange flaps that switch the image to come down into frame, and pull the next frame into view. I also want the images to be a bit over-saturated, like having the sun shining directly though the frame. I’m pretty sure I could achieve that part of the effect in 32bpp color.
How I picture this working would be to create Solids as the flaps and just use repeating key-frames to open and close the flaps. I can’t imagine this task being too difficult, but I was hoping there were some sort of tutorial or tips you guys can offer me.

take a 10.1 megapixel camera. Backlight an actual toy disk and take a picture. Rotate it in AE. 90% of work done! With 10.1 mp you can zoom in really far like a microscope with no grain! Motion track and add your own pictures to the slides. Use bezel for 3d shutter and add plastic texture.
