    since laptops don’t have extended keyboards, either use a virtual keyboard software plugin for laptops or run an autohotkey script that attaches any keypress you want to send any other key back to the keyboard buffer. One example is…

    #SingleInstance force ;only open once
    F1::Numpad0 ; Makes the ‘F1’ key send a ‘numpad 0’ key

    paste that into a text file ending with .ahk and install autohotkey

    RAM Preview is not Shift 0, it’s just 0. Shift 0 is alternate (secondary) RAM Preview.

    I’m on a laptop as well. I just mouse over to the dang RAM Preview button in the Time Controls.

    Get the KeydUp script and arrange your shortcuts on your lap.

    I tried fn-M from my macbook pro and all I’m getting is any mask available on my comps to be unfolded on the timeline, no ram preview.

    Maybe a little bit late, but for those with the same problem, is ctrl+0 in a mac, as well… if it doesn’t work in composition>preview>RAM preview you can see the shortcut.

    I know this an old post but… In any laptop the shortcut key is Fn (the blue function key) + m (or whatever key holds the cero number in the letters keyboard not the numeric strip) Remember that the numeric pad in a regular keyboard is emulated in the letters keyboard using the function key.

    Surely you change the key commands in settings. Pretty obvious

    Yes, ctrl-0 works for RAM Preview and ctrl-. works for audio preview on my MacBook Pro. Thanks.
