I agree that LiveType is still viable, and Zane, where did you get your 1% data from regarding FCS users who use it? LT is much more integrated with FCP than Motion, which requires HUGE amounts of horsepower just to run, at least in comparison.

    Tom,

Let me know if you get it to work!

    Have a wonderful day.

To my mind, this whole BluRay issue is like penial enlargement, totally worthless for the most part.

With today’s DVD players, SD discs look just fine, with many of them doing an uprez when playing. So who needs BluRay? I say it’s bunk.

    Have a wonderful day.

An even more basic critique of Eric’s post, do that math against ANY successful product, and you would see margins even greater than what Apple is making on FCP. BTW I think his estimate is low.

But when I think back on it, over the years and upgrades, I have probably paid more than $5,000 for my FCP, to think I could get the latest version for $999 is just ludicrous. And yes, it does make me feel a little ripped off.

    Have a wonderful day.

Re-capture our footage as ProRes, or change your compressor to ProRes and render.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Max,

Don’t suppose you have time to re-do them in Live Type, but would have saved you a lot of hassle.

Because you apparently need an alpha channel it would seem you’re stuck, and I don’t think Animation is going to save you much in the way of file size.

    Have a wonderful day.

    DR,

You two did miss something, and that is to set your render settings in the video processing tab to high precision YUV and set motion filtering to best.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Judy,

I would try selecting each bit of text and copying and pasting. Beyond that, dunno…

    Have a wonderful day.

    Hmmm,

It seems that when ProRes clips are in the browser, the read as 1440, but when opened in QT they show up as 1920, so I’m confused. Still, I don’t have the render times you do, stumped, sorry.

    Have a wonderful day.
