Yes, I have to do this often. Animate one logo going around the oval. Duplicate it for however many logos you have. Ofset keyframes to taste then just replace the art logos on each duplicate. Super simple. Adjust scale to taste for each logo but still maintain relative distance

Premiere automatically detects your slog footage now. When you add it, you are dobling, hence the crazy. Check your projects settings for color interpretation

this is what I have done in the past.

proxies. they are a thing in AE, too.

do all your work with the proxies, then turn them off and render at full rez.

highlight clip(s) is project window. Right-click to MODIFY>INTERPRET FOOTAGE. Check the color management at the bottom of the dialog box… FCPX doesnt have this. Comes in handy but was a pain until I found it.

I ingested with my sony DVCAM deck a year ago. worked effortlessly. bummer.

Perhaps, set proxies in timeline to SET TO FRAME SIZE as you add them to the timeline. Then, go ahead and edit and do your scaling. When you replace with the 4K footage I believe you’ll just have to undo the SCALE TO FRAME SIZE option on each. That’s what I would try first. A test would reveal success quickly.

Any geniuses have a workaround forAdobe’s shocking decision to phase out tape/live capture in PP? Some of us still need to dig in old DV tapes. There WAS a world before HD and IT data solutions. :-/

right click on the footage in the project window and check INTERPRET FOOTAGE. Premiere applies some color things automatically now and sometimes it gets it wrong.

The ATOMOS device at my last gig recorded ProRes Raw. I did not love it. Really hard to edit with unless you have a certified beast of a machine.

I get the ominous feeling Apple is going to buy BMD. It would be an astonishing fit.

You have separated your fusion drive. Google fixing my apple fusion drive and you’ll find solutions. None of them worked for me but you might have better luck. I just backed up my drive and replaced it with a 6 TB SSD. Made it like a new mac. The fusion drive was kind of a disaster.

I’m trying to monitor levels before I record but the little R button in the multitrack session window is greyed out? Checked my hardware settings. All good. Actually DOES record when I press the red key but I cannot monitor prior to or during recording. No bueno….

Any clue as to what might be up?

Maxon techs told me to export image sequences. The software supports importing image sequences. Worked like a charm. Still…would love to now why ProRess444 with alpha quicktime movies aren’t working for me.

Yes. The alpha channel is not coming through. Are there other video formats I can use that support an alpha channels in Windows/C4D? I have literally tried them all. I normally use macs so this has got me a lil pissed.

What video format can I export from Adobe After Effects (Windows 10) that has an alpha channel that plays nice with Cinema 4D (Windows 10). When I export a ProRes movie with an alpha channel fro9m AE on the Mac, it plays nicely with Cinema 4D but on the PC I cannot find the right format. Any help?

regardless of the DPI of your source image, the AE project res is only 1920 X1080. At that res, it’ll never be as sharp as you like. You AE comp size needs to be much higher.

Using copyrighted music without permission is bad juju. I’d say iTunes lack of functionality in this department reflects that. There are many inexpensive quality stock music options.

I’ve seen stop motion animators using large TV monitors with a blue or green frame locked on as their screen backdrop. Looks like it worked well as long as you got some distance between screen and subject and you didn’t need to go too wide. I thought it was kinda genius.

Try re-linking your assets in the project window. The rest looks like you need to tweak your window display options.

Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears. To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.

And it still crashed? I’d reinstall.

Call Dan on this shift key when you start the program and it will give you a dialog box to reset the plug-ins and if you hold down the shift key also it will also allow you to reset your preferences

If you are OK with only 16 gigs of RAM and non-upgradeability, go ahead. Me? Not so much. I’m waiting for more ram options downstream.

Thanks. I can re-map using your advice and see if it helps. The connection is fast enough to edit 6K with perfect playback with no proxies… and the disconnects are sporadic. Seems like every time I re-save the AE linked project is when they unlink, rather then simply need to be re-rendered like usual.
Again, thanks for the pertinent advice.

It is a QNAP server designed for video serving. I solved the issue with a 10G NIC card and digging into the network setting for the card to allow large packets. Problem solved! Feels good to cut trouble-free!

I’m on a PC with my projects on a QNAP server. Dynamically linked AE files in my Premiere timeline randomly disconnect. Relinking is easy but a pain since it happens a few times an hour. Any help would be appreciated.

Audio cutting out means you have bandwidth issues. What size and type of proxies are you creating?

I installed it but it said I had to use the newest version of Premiere Pro, which I do have installed. The version # required by BRAW 2.1 seemed to suggest it only worked with the public beta, since I DO have the latest version installed.

Newest version of Premiere Pro and the Blackmagic BRAW plug in 2.0. The plug-in behaves erratically, working on some clips but not on others, all shot with the same camera and settings. Maddening. NEVER had this issue until today.
