Those conforming files are generated when you first import new footage. If you have been editing for a while and suddenly PPro has become unresponsive, obviously it isn’t the peak generation.

Any other information about what you were doing when the program froze up?

Create the cover art in photoshop, and do the animation in AE. AE has a page turn effect by the way.

Well… I wouldn’t say simple. It does require some work. If you performed the zoom “in-camera” (and we’re talking zoom, not dolly), then you will need to track the footage and perform some sort of corner pin attatchment. Mocha AE will help you here, there is tons of tutorials online at the Mocha Website.

Or.. you could perform a digital zoom, where your footage is scaled down, parented, and composited on the newspaper, and you scale up the entire comp when the zoom in is to occur. Like I did here…

I’m with you, John. Really annoying. I end up deleting those folder contents after every job pretty much. I placed a shortcut on my desktop so I can navigate there immediately.

Keep in mind that you can bind any key to perform this task – in fact I use this so often I customized the “E” and “R” keys to add the default video and audio transitions, without needing the CTRL or CMD.

Let me point out, from a “physics” pov, that there would be no parallax effect on the sky during a panning shot. Just to be technically clear.

Why not pre-compose the first part and add the foot mask to that?

Once you nail the perspective down, I think you’ve got it!

  • Best bet is probably to render out the stabilized footage and re-import it for subsequent tracking.

Of course anything is possible. I guess it depends on how much time and effort you want to put into this. And since this wasn’t a planned post production visual effect, you will most definitely have lumps to take. Mocha is great at tracking things like the flat side of a shirt. I would start off by just trying to change the jersey numbers and see how feasible the endeavor is.

P.S. Are we talking more than one or two 5 second shots? The connotation I get from your post is that the “video” you want to edit is substantial.
