2 Alpha Mattes to one layer
The image above is a screenshot of the video I am working on. I want to display a video within the center of the newspaper which will be playing. Then later in the video a foot steps onto the newspaper.
To achieve this I really want to use 2 masks:
-The first to make the video fit into the newspaper nicely (using an Alpha matte applied to the shape of the central image)
-The second mask will be a shape that covers the foot that comes in (using an inverted Alpha matte drawn around the foot)
The problem is obviously that one is inverted and one is not? The first one will also be linked to a motion track as there is slight movement with the camera.
Am I over complicating these process? Does anyone know a way to achieve this?

Here’s a suggested layer order:
1.ALPHA MATTE LAYER: Mask for foot coming over video image
2.LAYER: Base Plate, original footage, ALPHA MATTED
3.ALPHA MATTE LAYER: Mask for newspaper
4.LAYER: Video that fits in newspaper, ALPHA MATTED
5.LAYER: Base Plate, original footageBen Unguren

Why not pre-compose the first part and add the foot mask to that?

Both of those sound like they will work but the bottom one sounds super simple!
