  • How to create a cool comic book cover with page turns?

Posted by Miro Segura on September 21, 2011 at 5:42 pm

    Hello,

I’m looking to create a comic book cover with a page turn to my first scene. I’ve looked everywhere and still cannot find a decent way to create this.

    Any help would be great!!

Create the cover art in photoshop, and do the animation in AE. AE has a page turn effect by the way.

Thanks, will it look convincing? Looking also to have the cover of the comic have some 3D depth to it.

    Thanks for your reply

I need the binding of the magazine to be a little thick, not too much, then have the page turn.

    Many thanks

Instead of going for photo-realistic, you should strive for stylistic! Something fun to watch, not something to fool the audience into thinking its real… unless someone needs to pick this up and flip through it.

I mean, in that case it may be easier to actually make a real comic book using Photoshop or Illustrator, and have it printed and magazine-bound at Kinkos or what-have-you.

    Christopher…
I would like to create an interior design book for my business. I would like to call it “Dollface.” What do you think? You can find me on FB under “Decorating by Regina Marie.” I need aome advice. Thanks.
