Though I do have a multibridge extreme and I’m quite pleased with it.

I like pc’s for just about everything EXCEPT editing.

It’s interesting to note that I see posts about problems with various black magic product and 90% of the time the user says “running on a pc.”

Yeah everyone and their brother has used the crap out of this transition.

You can do it in after effects by adding the glow effect and key framing the intensity up or down.

I got the call, we went over the settings then he
told me to put the composite input into the Y bnc of the component input.

I thought that was weird because Since January of this year, the composite input has ALWAYS been hooked up to the NTSC/PAL Ref input. I remember talking to somebody on this forum from blackmagic and they clearly stated that the ref in and the composite in were the same connector. So i normaled blackburst into it and when I input a composite cable on the router it would override the blackburst with the composite signal.

That had worked for all of this year beginning in january until a week ago.
then suddenly it stops working and with a firmware update and changing it from the ntsc/ref in to component Y in its working.

That is VERY strange.

But I’m glad it works and our MBE is ok.

Just an update to let you know that DVI-D is working
in SD and HD after having the unit off awhile.

But the Analog Audio and Video options seem to
be completely dead.

Hey its great to know you guys are going to enable
SD to HD conversion on the multibridge extreme.

Not having that option had me thinking about going to Kona Hardware.

But I definitly won’t if the multibridge extreme will support
hardware upconversion in the future.

It’s a format that the JVC HD100U supports.

I don’t think that will work with regular workflow.

You have to capture it with dvhscap and convert/conform
it with mpeg stream clip.

thats the no-cost way.

you need fcp 5.1.2 to do the 24p editing.

30P should work just fine.

I was surprised the shooter didn’t do that as he’s been doing this for decades.
