try setting the preview monitor option in vegas to “best full”, see if that looks better.

Every client can request what they want. We do many “shoot only” jobs for a variety of clients, (not weddings) for individuals to foreign news services. They tell us what tape format and sometimes what camera they want, give us a check, and we shoot and give them the tape. I never have given anyone a hard drive, but if they pay for the drive and time to capture the tape…..sold!

He may intend on editing it himself. In which case he will want uncompressed avi. How about just give him your MiniDV tapes and let him capture them?

Also, watch you don’t encode the bitrate too high regardless if there is plenty of room on the disk or not.

I think so, that’s why I did. Look at their examples on their website. I too have an example on my site. See the “007 Bond girl” video, I used it alot in that one.
