    Hi All,

Since Vegas does not have a spell checker (that I’m aware of) what tips or techniques are users using to avoid spelling problems? I have set type in Word then pasted into Vegas, but would like to avoid the extra step if possible. Also one must be careful because going from Word to Vegas if the font faces used in Word are different than what is being used in Vegas sometimes some of the characters do not display correctly. Any suggetions would be much appreciated.

No, Vegas still doesn’t have a spell checker 🙁
I sometimes do the same thing as you (compose in Word) but then save it out as a plain text file. That allows me to decide what font, size, etc. I want and not have Vegas get confused.

My personal advice wood bee never too re-lie on a spell chequer. This email was typed inn Word and nun of the (at least 19) miss takes were picked up. (Chequer might fail inn US English, butt Canadian and other flavours of English let it through).
Spell chequers mite bee useful for course-grained pick-up of typos etc., especially in large amounts of text, but will knot pick up wrongly used words or miss spelt names of people, places etc. (witch comprise a high percentage of the text I putt in videos). You should all ways check the old fashioned way.
