Best Computer System For Vegas Video
An ex-film editor (commercials and low-budget features), I’ve been cutting on VV (using a Dell Dimension 4700 PC)for about two years now and want to upgrade to a computer with the power, memory and graphics capability that will take advantage of VV.
I’d like to spend about $2000 all in, including monitor. I already own three 160 gb firewire lacie drives.
I’m currently helping a friend cut an feature length documentary on the PC and know that I need to upgrade to a faster, more reliable system.
I’d like an opinion from anyone who has had tried any system out there.

After crashing several doing HDV footage, I got this:

two cpu, each is dual core. I’m very happy with it.
