He doesn’t necessarely need a higher frame rate, just a longer 360º spin.

I would try twixtor first though.

  • have you tried pressing shift + u with just your left hand Matthew? Does it come natural?

On a standard windows keyboard here they’re just too far away to be a usefull shortcut, so I vote NO to modifiers. Any other options is valid to me, either changing current functionality or adding triple U’s.

  • never tried, but maybe you can morph between a fake parallel camera to you perspective one. Just bring it far back in Z and crank up it’s zoom, almost as it seems parallel.

  • IT is, plus a very subtle scale and a slow up down position with motion blur. But what sells it is the sound beat that goes with it and the large letterings that suddenly appear.

Since you can bake about everything to PSR, unless they don’t let you open full seat projects on lite versions. I’d say 99% of the animations will be transferable.

Not sure on the renderer capabilities and lights/materials though.

    Just me guessing…

IF the look is simple enough, C4d’s spline wrap will probably be way faster to set up then any distortion effects in AE. And c4d has parallel camera, making it BE 2d won’t be a problem.

Your workflow should be like this:

Have a proper mobile screen resolution composition inside the project resolution composition that has the corner pin data applyed.

Then you can either stretch the mobile screen comp to fit the project comp (shortcut ctrl + alt +f).
Or you can turn on collapse transformation on the comp with the corner pin and it should allign proper.

allign them yes… bend and distort not so easily.

    To allign:
copy the mask path and paste it on the arrow head’s position

then set the auto orientation to path. ctrl + alt + o (layer -> transform -> auto-orient)

May 22, 2013 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Counter increases with every marker

You don’t need 200 text layers… you can animate the text source.

Anyway, even though I’m sure there’s an automated way to count markers(sadly I don’t know one), any counter style animations usualy lack the proper manual kerning some fonts require. And that bothers me way more then typing 200 numbers. And after all, once you get it marked it should not take you much time to type the text changes.

And I’m betting it would take you more time to find and set out a different way to do it then to type it.

  • Can you describe what kind of animation you intend to do?
Things like picture resolution and how close to the camera they will appear can change everything.
