no expression would be ideal, some photos may get to run within undesired moments/places. Its way quicker to drag a bunch to each side and then adjust some. Half the way there it will look random enough.

Yeah, baking would be one way to do it that I haven’t considered. But it seems just duplicating/transitioning to another displacer will be quicker/easier. I’m already time tracking everything else though.

I guess I was wishing for some hidden evolution property on them. =]

    Thanks.

“flicker” was a bad wording. It seemed so because I was trying to slow to a halt after a lot of frames passed. When you keyframe it to zero it backwards all the time it evolved until that point, it got so quick it seemed to flicker.

Anyway changing values or reducing to half the start won’t help. It goes backwards then continues to animate.

    thanks.

Try going to View -> Go to main level

  • in 1080p both your video and that example show the same kind of artifacts. Its a matter of compression, your whole frame changes every single frame. You perceive the other video being crispy clean in either static frames (like the end letterings) or scenes that have a lot of black, thus leaving the compressor with more data to work on things that are actually moving/changing.

Vimeo has a better output than youtube. Also your video in 1080p looks alright, I can see the compression you’re mentioning but its still ok.

The easiest and by far less polished way to do it is to duplicate de background and the head layer… set the background to luma mate of the bottom head and remove the white ring from the other.

Have you tried to zoom out(mouse scroll)? Maybe the camera is just far away in X or Y from your screen’s front view position.

Have you seen VideoCopilot’s plugin Twitch? Because it seems that example used just it.

  • What do you mean “tracking data is keyframed in a null” ? You have to track the shot and then solve the scene resulting in an animated camera. After you have a camera, Every 3d element (including particular) should follow through.

If you have a luma, you have to remember that you may be choking the edges that are black(or white if inverted luma matte) and that may not make a diference to the actual white matte colour.

On that case you have to precompose to be able to choke the alpha.
