You should bend a matrix, with either the honewcomb patter or the grid array one. Then use Cloner to clone your bricks into that matrix. To remove bricks to create windows, just use the mograph selection tool with effectors.
See example: 11354_circularwall.c4d.zip

Can’t say about arnold, but I do get a clean alpha with octane just by converting your material and changing it to specular.

I didn’t convert anything else to the render pipeline. So that screen is just 1 material plus the auto converted default one you had.
I’m guessing you’ll only have trouble if you must combine transparency AND alpha. Most renderers don’t even have both. They are one and the same in any PBR plataform (should be IMO).

I checked the project and I coundn’t simply solve it. The problem arises I think because once you add an alpha, the transparency can only be evaluated where you have at least a partially seen object. You see the clear bound where transparency was computed and where it wasn’t.
The only solution I have is to compose the ripple in post with some render passes. Essentially separate the BG and render all the rest with a full alpha then add just the alpha to smooth the transition in post.

I’ve went into this trouble recently. I end up stacking a displacer with a subd and some settings to the voronoi and I got a pretty decent result to what I wanted: check it out just a frame…

apart from the texture, the cuts that make the X are way more organic… If thats more what you’ll want I can send you the file.

If I understood you correctly its because your text object has a different uv than your paper, they translate differently into space.
Go to your top view, select the material applied to the text, right click it and go to “fit to region” now do a rectangular marquee that matches your plane size.

Did you get the resolution right? Because I’m pretty sure unless they got a very limited output system that the bitrate would not be a problem.
And have you tried going to 16 bit in the old .avi output options in AME? maybe its just that.

I think its all masking and scalling man, nothing more to it. Just well executed.
maybe if you can, throw some of this plugin/script in the mix?
