When you select the first file of your image sequence, it will ask if it should move the texture to the correct folder.
If you say yes, it only moves the one file and you have no movie. If you select no, it will read all the files in the image sequence from the original location. You still need to hit the animation tab and calculate. -
If you can achieve the same look using a sweep nurbs instead of extrude, you can animate the start and end growth values to create a reveal look.

Thank you Adam, some how a use the inheritance effector all the time and never use the clone function. Really cool.
Cheers -
Thanks a lot Adam, that pretty much did exactly what I wanted.
And oh so simple. -
When simulating dynamics, its difficult to get the pieces to do what you want.
Some things to try are;
1:Changing the seed parameter if your using an effector.
2:Slightly rotating the letters before they fall can make them bounce differently.
3:Using a wind object to blow the letters in the direction that you want.
4: use custom initial velocity to send the pieces in the direction you want.
If you get erratic behavior after lots of tweaking, jot down your settings and replace the rigid body tag for a new one. I also recommend using the cache tag for more stability. -
You might try temporarily removing it from its current hierarchy, including any deformers, cloners, boole, symetry, etc… and doing your editing there. (Or copy it into a new project to work on it, something I do constantly.)
Axis center is a bit particular about when it will and wont work.
PS: Pressing the controll key while (after) orbiting the camera, is suppose to orbit around the cameras center, that might help as well. -
Did you trash the preferences before reinstalling? If not, do that and restart. Also, try resetting the Pram of your computer. I had a similar issue and both of these helped.

This happened to me the other day and I fixed it (after loosing a lot of hair) by resetting the Pram on my computer.

Cool idea.
Id say that the footage was tracked in a 3d tracking app like Boujou or syntheyes, and the camera data then imported into c4d.
Then they created geometry to match the buildings. Then, I think they rendered the different clips, whether from c4d or AE
and reapplied them using materials to the geometry. The shot at the end is just a shot of there monitor with c4d’s 4 view option, and there projection man setup.
Thats my guess though im not an expert.
any one else. -
Sorry, but its kinda hard to follow what your talking about.
I dont see a link to what your referencing.
Maybe some more info would help?Wild stab in the dark, your last line might be referring to the mograph 2 camera shader.
