    Im trying to do a smooth transition between one object and another.
    In this case I have a bunch of cloned cubes in the shape of a dollar sign. (object mode, volume)
    Im animating a random cloner to scatter the clones and then bring them back together in the shape of a euro sign. (see attached project file)
    Is there a way to do this without getting a “Jump” in the clones position when the object changes?

    ultimately, Id like to create something like the pblurp effect only with cubes as the transition shape.
    I think you can do this with TP, but I have yet to crack that nut and I have a deadline coming.

    Any ideas????

    You can do it, but not by animating the cloner’s object parameter. Instead, do this:

    * create a mograph matrix object with the same parameters as the cloner, except referencing the euro object instead of the dollar object;

    * create/apply an inheritance effector to the cloner;

    * set the inheritance mode to “direct”, drag the matrix object into the object slot, and check the “morph motion object” box;

    * keyframe the inheritance effector’s strength to move the clones onto the matrix particles, forming the euro shape.

    Thank you Adam, some how a use the inheritance effector all the time and never use the clone function. Really cool.
    Cheers
