will work but you have to check Animate Preview in the Illumination tab of the material the QT is in

use the object-as-area-light option then, that can be done without GI

Either luminance (material channel) on the object and turn on the Global Illumination or use a copy of the object as the source for an area light (probably with a luminant material for looks on the original)

what are the caps of the extrude? Try regular grid (Triangles or Quads). If not that then do you have fillet as well? Might have to be a bit smaller. Or perhaps the text spline needs to be subdivided.

if you check off Animate Preview in the Illumination tab of the material it will work on the object too.

assuming the text is in the default rotation…. take the bend deformer and rotate it so the Y axis points along the text (probably 90 in B)
set the deform to Unlimited and put the bottom of the deformer where you want the middle of the bend to be. Adjust the strength -
