  • quicktime footage realtime during animation?

    Hi there,

I’m working on a little commercial with quicktime (strait alpha) footage in it. I’m wondering if anybody knows if Cinema 4d is able to update this quicktime footage each frame, as I’m working on the animation. I only see the first frame now.
I have to make some vegetables move trough the screen and the ques are in my quicktime footage, so it’s a bit hard this way.
    I’m working with Cinema 9.6

    Thanks a lot!

It should update no problem when applied to the material channles and to the background object. Just make sure you properly have input the animation parameters for the texture.

Ah that’s it! My footage is attached to a plane object, because it’s part of my 3d scene. (it’s a little boy sitting behind a modeled table) In a background it works fine indeed!
I will make a background object as a dummy and then base my timing on that.

    Thanks a lot Mylenium!

if you check off Animate Preview in the Illumination tab of the material it will work on the object too.

FWIW, you’ll get faster playback if you convert the QT to frames (best) or uncompressed.
