right now my favorite editing machine is a MBP that I have added a secong SSD drive for the applications.. it is super fast! can do anything that the Macpros at work can do and quicker.. second drive (the original 500gb) acts as external media drive but it’s all inside and the connection is faster than firewire.

try using an insert edit or overwrite instead of drag and drop

you need empty space on your mac hard drive for temporary rendering.. Is your drive getting full of render files that your done with and can trash? do you hold your media on a separate drive? you should.

xan you convert the clips in Mpeg stream clip? that’s what I do w/my Gopro MP4’s.

I use XDCAM HD 1080i60 and sometimes DVCPRO HD 1080i60

I like it! speed could slow down JUST a little. your accent is wonderful as I have Norge blood in me I like hearing it and have no problem understanding. looking forward to more.

but the 17″ won’t fit in the saddlebag on my motorcycle.

could you copy/paste it on your desktop then open it in Quick Time and make a QT conversion which you can then import to FC?

I use a MBP at remote locations all the time.. just get an ext drive that powers thru the FW.

So, It was just interrupted by a notice saying “Error: out of disc space”.
I have 9gb of space left on the hard drive.you need more like 20G empty space mac uses it temporarily !
