(FCP 6.0.6 on Macbook Pro core 2 duo 4GB RAM)

    Hi everyone,

I have a project where I’m working with two cameras – One is a SD, NTSC and the other an HD PAL 1080i50. I converted the HD to SD NTSC with compressor and imported it back into FCP.

    It’s a presentation and I am editing a multiclip.

The footage from the HD is on 3 tapes, while the SD on two (don’t ask how that happened…I don’t know :). So I need to create more than one multiclip.

The first one I did went fine, now I’ve made the second multiclip (using in points).
Using the second half of the first tape from the NTSC and the second tape of the HD PAL (now converted to SD NTSC). When I try to view the multiclip in the viewer that’s when the message comes up “general error” and after clicking ok, the second “out of memory” message appears.

    Please help! 🙂

    Thank you,
    Sarah.

you need empty space on your mac hard drive for temporary rendering.. Is your drive getting full of render files that your done with and can trash? do you hold your media on a separate drive? you should.
