If you are making DVDs this will be part of the authoring software, Usually something if the class of Encore or like has this capability, low end software has limited options, its sort of impossible for tape outside of making different copies.

[EvanAVP] “I captured though my ADVC-100 (SD) and edited my video and when it came time to “export to tape”… it is all grayed out and not an option. (it allows me to export to anything else I want but ‘tape’.”
Do you have Canopus and advc100 selected under Device Control options in the Preferences menu

[EvanAVP] “the video image will play but the audio will not.”
Do you have External Device selected vice Desktop Audio in Playback Settings under General Project Settings

The thing to take into consideration when trying something like this is the relative ages of the software, the further apart the creation dates are the less chance of something working as needed processes don’t exist yet.

Are you refering to that you can’t see video in the capture window? If so this is normal just a legend that says you are capturing appears in a black window.

  • You should include your system specs and all the software you are running with it, particularly legacy software, and hardware.

The other post got sent by itself somehow when I left the room to get a bottle of water and answered the phone.
What I was going to add was, why not create your video in Ppro with the aim of adding a slideshow created in encore when you go to author your dvd(if thats what your ultimate product is going to be on)

Change the default still setting from 150 frames to whatever you need approx 30frame = 1sec, Edit->Preferences->General->Still Duration.
Please read your manual to familiarize yourself with basic settings
