It looks like it belongs to the Elements series, some bright nickle squeezer probably figured they could make more money by eliminating Audition from the production bundles so you would have to buy it seperate. -

1. If you are trying to tape the realtime playback from the timeline you need to go into the Project Settings->General->Playback Settings and make sure the sound is set to play to the external device vice desktop.

A few halogen garage lamps work good and are cheap and are close to 3K Kelvin, and work nice if bounced off the ceiling.
DV Video should be checked on a external monitor, it will look junky on a computer monitor, There are small 14″ flat screen monitors for a reasonable price that will calibrate a pluge reasonably, and a basice color bar cal can be done with a filter, you maybe able to pick one up from a thrift store cheap.

Its not so much the power, recommended boards are usually based on chipsets, I don’t know how tight the requirements are, thats something to take up with BMD, when you say HD do you mean uncompressed HD or HDV? if uncompressed HD you need at least a SATA II raid0 or better.

In the meantime while waiting while Adobe cogitates over including your request you could try one of the various VST plugins available on the market, personally I would rather have a NLE which was able to intergrate with other modules/apps than have a major piece of bloatware/bugware that did everything. -

new card Nvidia geforce 8500GT”Are you using win xp? the 8xxx series cards are DirectX 10, XP uses DirectX 9, When you loaded the drivers for the new card it probably load a newer version of DirectX 9 that has some D3DX 10 dlls to make the card backward compatible with XP, this maybe causing conflicts, or the version of the DirectX 9 update on the card’s CD is a older version, MS has benn regularly releasing newer updates of DirectX 9 because of some compatibility problems, the last release I downloaded was Nov2007.

Not necessarily, MS DV AVI is usually Direct Show type 1, Premiere uses a VFW derivative Direct Show Type 2, if you put MS DV AVI on 6.5’s timeline you should have a red bar indicating that you have to render it before use. -
I thought thats usually greyed out in that menu unless autoplay is selected, you can get to it but you have to select a autoplay DVD in Window-> DVD layout-> Change Template
I should have thought of that this morning but I misinterpreted the request as wanting a menu DVD with looping
