    Hello.

I’ve updated my Premiere to Premire Pro, but my AE is still 5.5. Is it possible to copy timeline clips from Premiere to AE?

I know this is a much talked about feature in PP and AE7, but I was wondering if it will work with AE 5.5 as well.

    thanks…

You will have to try it and let us know. I kind of doubt it but you might get lucky.

It didn’t work for me. But I am wondering if there any specific things that I would have to do.

The copy/paste didn’t work, nor did importing the PP project file into AE5.5. AE5.5 didn’t recognize the extension.

The thing to take into consideration when trying something like this is the relative ages of the software, the further apart the creation dates are the less chance of something working as needed processes don’t exist yet.

    okey. try this:

save the premiere pro file as a normal ppro project file
and try to open that project file in AE ( file>import file)
than double click on the sequence file in the project panel

    AFX 5.5 predates Ppro 1.0
