First of all, you’re not going to be able to give depth to any layer in AE without plug-ins. But I guess that won’t make a difference, if you’re using a silohoutte. What you need to do, is turn on the layer’s 3D switch, and set up in 3D space where you want it.

    What’s the project?

I have Particular, maybe I’ll find some time to do something with it. Let me know.

I only found discussion on the Mac Book Pro. I actually searched before posting, cause I remember it was discussed, but I didn’t find anything about the iMacs.

I didn’t read the tutorial. But I think you should use you ‘direct selection’ tool (white arrow) to select the mask, then copy, and finally select the solid in AE and just paste. I think that should work. (At least that’s how it works in Illustrator.)

    Hope that helped,

The size of the video is 1024×576. There aren’t really any fine lines, the artifact is occuring to everything. The QT video is at full resolution.

I just did a third test using AE’s default ‘lossless’ setting. The qt movie is beautiful, but when I bring it into iDVD it comes out soooo bad

As I was typing, I had the feeling someone was trying to say the same thing. So I kept updating the forums in a different window to make sure no one already responded…
