AE7 on the new iMacs
Did anyone get a chance to try AE7 on the Intel iMacs? I would like to hear some opinions about it: Is it going to be faster to run Adobe apps such as the creative suite & after effects on the 17inch 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo iMac than my current 1 GHz G4? I know it’s not going to run as fast as it should cause it’s not optimized for the Intel chips – but it might still be faster than my current set-up???

I only found discussion on the Mac Book Pro. I actually searched before posting, cause I remember it was discussed, but I didn’t find anything about the iMacs.

well i think its performance would be very similar to the macbooks at the moment until AE/PS is re-written (very poor). I think at this stage the only hope is bootcamp, booting into XP and running PC versions on your Mac.
Personally I’m just gonna wait, until either a re-written version of the software comes out. Or after a couple versions of bootcamp when its been trialed a bit
