I’m aware of that. But all the comps have their work areas already defined, and I’m trying to avoid going into each comp and setting that up. I would like to automate it.
Thanks anyway

Hi Curtis.
Your reply helped me more than you can imagine. Thank you for your input.
I don’t have any problem submitting the bill to client, and here’s why.
He’s a long established client who has done print graphics with me many times in the past. This is his first web job, and one of my first web assignments. When he gave me the job, he asked for a quote. At that time I had no idea, but I thought, to cover myself, I should pitch it high – so I said it could be as much as $2500. He did raise his eyebrows and asked why so much – I told him I couldn’t be sure at that stage of how much coding was involved, and that I hoped it would be lower. So now, you may ask, what’s the problem – why not charge as much as I feel like up to that amount? And the answer is trust – I know he’s going to pay whatever I ask. He knows I’m going to be perfectly honest and fair. So I needed to know how much such a site would cost when done by someone else, in order to know the fair market price. And you’ve given me the answer – or AN answer which helps tremendously.

A famous tip I’ve seen alot here on the COW, is to leave the caps lock on, so it doesn’t have to display each frame as it renders. (especially helps if you’re leaving it overnight

I don’t think there’s no way to bend layers in AE w/o a third party plug-in. And even then, It’s going to be very hard to position it and have it interact with other AE 3D layers. I wouldn’t try doing something like this in AE; I would give it to someone with a true 3D program.

I finished a project recently, wheere I made a seamless spinning ‘ring’ of images in 3D space with fake reflections which worked quite well in 3D except for twice in the ring where the reflection images that where behind the foreground images showed up in front cause of the way the ring was tilted. So I just lowered the opacity at that point in time so it wasn’t as noticable. The results were pretty good, sort of like apples front row. Here’s a screen shot:

As you can see, I used a camera with a very shallow depth of field. Let me know if you want more info on how I did it.

August 8, 2006 at 3:19 am in reply to: Strange Problem in AE7 that has me puzzled… (with pics)You seem to have them positioned correctly, but how about the size? Even before you move it in space, from your selection, one seems to be bigger. You don’t show the scale in the picture, so that’s the only thing I can think of.

Sure! just select the path, copy, select the layer you want should follow the path, and paste.

See, I’m new to Final Cut Pro, a little more detail would be very helpful.
Thanks,

Thanks,

I noticed the ‘help’ button is right above the forward delete button. Are you sure you’re hitting the right button? I know it sounds stupid, but it happened to me a couple of times, and could probably happen to anyone.
