Motion does not import any 3D geometry. It sounds like your client is looking for someone to do this in C4d, Lightwave, Max or Maya.

I like to use GRS. You can also try Voltage, USA and Broadway Video.

[David Roth Weiss] ” Better casting and writing can make up for a multitude of rolling shutter issues.”
Funny, the main reason I watch it is for the bad writing. It’s become high camp, it’s so bad, it’s good!

You might also want to look at an LLC.
You might want to talk to an accountant and a tax lawyer. The benefits of each type of business ownership varies from state to state because of differences in the tax laws, BTW.

You should use a ProcAmp or Levels filter for this, and manually adjust the whites till they read safe on your scope.

Compressor puts the file wherever you tell it to go. Where did you specify that the file is saved? That’s where it is.

June 10, 2010 at 5:45 pm in reply to: DVCPROHD 16:9 to 4:3 broadcast. Does it make a difference DVCPROHD or AppleProRess422?[Leon Klein] “The asked me to deliver the format in AppleProRess422 1980×1280.”
If this is what they asked for, this is what you should send.
But it wouldn’t hurt to ask them if they would accept the DVCPro HD. It’s usually better to skip a round of transcoding whenever you can, so delivering in your native format would be helpful in that way.

As per Apple:
“Apple ProRes 4444: The new Apple ProRes 4444 codec preserves motion image
sequences originating in either 4:4:4 RGB or 4:4:4 Y’CBCR color spaces. At its remarkably
low data rate as compared to uncompressed 4:4:4 HD, Apple ProRes 4444 supports
12-bit pixel depth with an optional, mathematically lossless alpha channel for true
4:4:4:4 support. Apple ProRes 4444 preserves visual quality at the same high level as
does Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), but for 4:4:4 image sources, which can carry the highest
possible color detail.”Arnie

[Dale Larsen] “The client seems to think other vendors using FCP have delivered masters that are correct. Question is how that is possible? “
I think that you will need to ask your client.
What format masters did these other vendors deliver. Deliver that and be done with it.
If he insists that these were 16 bits per color & HD, but were delivered as DV/DVCPro, then your client is misinformed. That’s his problem, and either you can take the time to educate him, or you can simply give him what other vendors have given him in the past.
