Tell your editor to simply swap the monitor cables. This will effectively swap the position of the monitors. When he decides that the performance is improved, you can tell him about the placebo effect.

As seems standard in this particular forum, there’s more misinformation than otherwise. Fortunately there’s an obscure website called APPLE.COM were you can find a lot of this stuff out.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you asking your vendor not to mention your client on his web site or facebook page.
But a more interesting question is why don’t you want your client to know that you sometimes hire people who are the more qualified than you to help you create work for them. In my book, that’s a plus, it means that you put their needs first and want to find the right person to do the job for them.

Because, according to SMPTE, ITU, EBU and the NTSC, there’s no such thing as 720P30, only 720P60 (actually 59.94) and 720P50. IOW, the broadcast standards for 720P are frame rates of either 59.94 or 50 frames per second, not 29.97 or 25. Your broadcast monitor probably can’t even play 720 at those frame rates.

At it’s top data rates, the Nano can record an all I-frame version of MPEG2. But I think the data rate is something like 200MB/sec or more, similare to the data rate of ProRes or PorRes HQ.

The Ki recorders record in Apple’s 10 bit ProRes codecs.
The NanoFlash uses MPEG2 based codecs, which I think are all 8 bits.
Both ProRes & MPEG2 based codecs are pretty widely used.

Where did you set this for your project? In the project scratch disk settings? Sorry, there’s no such thing, FCP doesn’t have any “project” settings. If you notice, the scratch disk is in the “system” settings, so changing the scratch disk is global for all projects on your system.
Sorry, but that’s the way it works. If you learn to work with it, it can actually be very liberating to just have to do it once & never worry about it again.
