Either you make all your footage progressive or interlaced.
If you use interlaced all footage has to have the same field already in the timeline otherwise you will have the dvd not playing correctly. The export has to be in the same field as the timeline.

Worked like a charm with Avisyth and the HC encoder.
Encoded HDV footage to 720×576.

Give Premiere a change and let the conforming and idexing etc. finish before editing. Premiere cannot do everything at the same time.

All depends: what is the source, what are your project settings, what are your export settings.

As it is not working properly i would deinstall, run clean script a couple of times and reinstall.

As for updating in the middle of a project i have no issues.

Deinstall CS4 and CS3, run clean script CS4 and CS3 a couple of times and then reinstall just CS4.

I still do not like Premiere’s scaling down hdv to sd but 4.2 is definitely better than 4.0 or 4.1.
Did you turn on Maximum Render Quality in the export settings?

What are your source clips.
If you do not know run them thru Gspot and tell us the codec.

Another way is to select clip in the project window then go to Clip/Audio Options/BreakOut To Mono. This wil give you a seperate left and right channel.

Does this clip have some sort of exotic codec?
