I need the standard MXF OP1a. I need to output an MXF with the Jpeg2000 codec. In Premiere, Media encoder or any Adobe app for that matter…as soon as you choose the MXF wrapper, you loose the ability to use the Jpeg2000 CODEC.

on a side note, are there any tools that can encode directly to Jpeg2000 wrapped in MXF op1a instead of MOV ??? Thx

i will be gone for at least 4-6 months so 30 days won’t cut it.

Will the CC features eventually make its way into a CS release ? I definitely don’t want to rely on an internet authorization so CC is out of the question.

The card is on the approved list. It works fine under Adobe PP CS6 as stated in my message.

But when i turn on the GPU accelerated in PP CC, it says the card is not approved…must be a bug!

If i understand correctly, CC is everything CS6 was plus extra features This means i can download and install CC and erase all CS6 version….It also means i cannot exchange sessions with non CC editors.

  • [Matt Geiser] “It doesn’t. Next question!

You’ll need an audio delay for sure”

Matt, do you know this for a fact ? Do you use the Barco in a Cinema environment ??

Delays of the Barco is negligible ( less than half a frame). My question above has more to do with playback speed because when you do a 2:3 pull down (24fps to 29.97fps) the audio needs to be slowed down by .01 %

For a quick test i have my AJA IO XT hooked into the SDI input of the Barco. I’m playing a 1080p @ 24 fps file and the output of the Barco is set to 1080p @ 29.97 and into my Dreamcolor. Everything played in sync fine. Hmmm….

Anyways, anyone with experience with the Barco care to chime in ???

Alright i found the problem this is definitely a CS6 bug….but how can i fix this ….basically, the volume on each clip is at -infinity…therefore i need to raise the volume…the only problem is that i have thousands of clips as this is a 120 min doc with tons of edits!!!!

April 25, 2013 at 11:47 pm in reply to: IO XT noisy

Well i guess it’s all relative what one considers noisy. I have it in my PT HD mixing suite, it’s simply sitting on a table with nothing around/on top/underneath it. I and all the mixers find it loud as hell. You can really hear the difference when it’s plugged in or not. We tried both revision of the IO XT and it does not seem to make a big difference.
