No … the only obvious solution to reingesting partial FAM transfers after the fact is to revert to Log and Capture
That said, Bouke, from VideoToolshed, recently released a new product XDcam Extract that goes some way to providing a solution but it still falls short for this workflow as it requires you have a placeholder copy of the media for his app to reference … it would be better if it could simply work with a batch list or XML but there you’ll have to bug him to add that functionality. What you could do though, is Media Manage an OfflineRT archive of your finished projects which could then be used by his app to reference the correct media for retransfer from the source XDCAM media

Will any of those work on a Power PC Shane? I know the Calibrated Software solution is Intel only.

Michael, the Matrox MXO2 is an absolutely great unit … if you’ve any specific questions then feel free to ask away. If you plan to produce Bluray then you might want to consider the MXO2 “MAX” version which has a hardware H264 encoder built in. I’ve no personal experience of those Panny monitors though.

Nope, not during capture Daniel … but you can add and edit markers during live playback now, in FCP7, so very much a step in the right direction (especially for those who work tapeless nowadays).

XDCAM HD and XDCAM EX are somewhat different animals, different physical media and different folder data structure. Your words “but when I import the clips folder” are a bit worrying. Thats not how you do it with XDCAM HD. In the Sony XDCAM Transfer app your mounted XDCAM disc should be automatically recognized, you should not be importing clips folders and whatnot.
