Are the projects being opened in another edit bay, saved and then re-opened by the editor having issues? Or is all of the project taking place on one machine? If the project is being touched by other editors, check to make sure the “work spaces” are not being imported with the project. You check this under the Window/Workspace/Import Workspace from projects menu. If there is a check mark, the project will carry the whole work space look from the last person that opened it. If it is not checked, the last workspace the editor had should open up. Just something to check that might be affecting what you are seeing.

Check your project settings Video Rendering and Playback are not set to Software only. Had audio issues in one edit bay with stuttering audio and slow response time. Since your using ATI card set it to use Open CL.

Are you on Mavericks 10.9.3? If yes, then upgrade to 10.9.4 which will fix the GPU issues. Adobe did address this weeks ago when it was affecting users….including me on a new Mac Pro 10.9.3 system. What kind of system are you on?

Do you have any plugins in your timeline. Film impact for instance was causing one of our editors to crash on export. They now have updates available for CC2014. Same goes for Red Giant plugins. Apply the plugin updates and retry.
You might also have a corrupt media clip. Can you export your timeline in chunks to see where the corrupt clip is? Depending on how long your sequence is, mark in/out for 2-5 minutes, repeat until you find the area with the corrupt media and drill down to check plug-ins and or media that might be the problem. If you find the corrupt media, flip it to another codec and retry your export.
Other options:
Create new project, import your sequence through Media Browser and try to export.
Create new Sequence and paste your finished timeline into the new sequence. Export.
Queue your export into Media Encoder and close Premiere, then start your queue.Andy Edwards

Hi Barrett,
Please check this post and the button on the far left of the sequence. If toggled on it will show all clips vs. keeping the multi cam in a Nested state. Just toggle it to other position and you should see your nested sequence like you normally do.

Ok, now we are on the same page and I have a better understanding of what you need. Couple ways to deal with the “BROLL” aspect of multi cam.
1) Do all your broll after you have completed your your multi cam cut. Then you are focused on just placing it above your multi cam layer.
2) Create a Broll sequence and “Pancake” your sequence above your multi cam. You can have 2, 3,4 whatever sequences open and you can bounce between them grabbing shots to paste in your main Multi cam sequence. You don’t have to worry about turning targeting on or off for V2, V3 over and over. Here is an example:
3) You could place your broll in your original Multi cam sequence before you nest it, but TC won’t match and you’ll be bouncing around trying to line it up every time you want to cut. This could be a headache for targeting like you are having right now. Just to prove it can be done, here is a picture, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it this way.

Are you just stacking clips manually in a sequence and cutting vs. using the Multi-cam tool which will show you all your clips in a Monitor? In the picture example the monitor shows me all 8 cameras in the multi cam sequence.

The shift might be from not setting your sequence previews to the correct setting. If there is a slight mis-match in your settings, the shift can happen when rendering. Are you doing ProRes all the way through to export or are you exporting to H.264 or some other codec? You could also start fresh with a sequence that is set to ProRes 422, previews are set to QuickTime and ProRes codec, then create a export preset for ProRes422 vs. using “match sequence” box.
Are you re-importing your export to cheek this in Premiere or playing back with the QuickTime player on the desktop? If in Premiere, make sure your monitor is set to Full Quality as anything lower can show shifts in color.

Lots of options to try and speed up your exports. What type of machine / OS are you using? Do you have a CUDA enabled if you have an NVidia card or are you using AMD and Open CL? What types of drives are you using… SSD’s, Spinning? Did you flip all your footage to ProRes422, assign your preview files to be ProRes422 as well? Did you check the export menu to use previews.
Post back some answers to my questions and we can try to help you speed this up.

Been happy with the Samsung 840 Pro SSD’s. Good warranty. I have chosen to stay away from the Chronos deluxe SSD’s. I have had two go bad in the past few months.
