  • Also make sure your destination application knows to look for an alpha channel. In AE check interpret footage. In fcp check the alpha attribute.

Make sure in c4d that your generating a straight alpha and AE and fcp are set to look for one.

They’re still the same thing and doing what Mark suggested is what you need to do. You have to move the type layer’s anchor point to the middle using the anchor point tool. It’s under the arrow selection tool and looks like a target.

Take your main image layer and duplicate it. Draw a rectangle mask around the clean part of the building and apply a layer mask to the duplicated layer on top. Now use that shape layer as the mask source.

If your mask lines follow the lines of the building, it will be easier to hide your mask. You can also feather the edges a little if needed.

Now just reposition the duplicated masked layer to the right to cover the logo on the building.

    Hope that helps.

Isn’t using a lathe nurb is easiest way to model a bottle? Not sure about adding the necklace though. Sweep nurb maybe?

    1. Hit the spacebar twice. There might be a fancier keyboard shortcut but this is what I do.

    2. I don\\\’t know how you can change the duration of a clip and not change the duration of the timeline but you can highlight a clip, choose the ripple roll tool and then type in the amount you want to change. Or you can hit the trim edit buttons to roll the clip without having to drag using the roll tool.

What about resetting your play range the the second half or the middle third and rerendering.

You could also try turning off one group at a time to see if it’s a corrupted file or font or something like that.

What happens if you drop the motion project file onto a fcp timeline?

I don’t know Vegas at all but since they will open in Vegas can you open them in Vegas and export new files that FCP can work with?

I remember there were days that Final Cut couldn’t open files but After Effects could and I would open then in AE and just spit out valid QT files to be used in Final Cut.

Seems like a possibility over spending $40-$50 on transcoding software when you can open them using Vegas.

    Awesome workaround. Thanks much!

I actually prefer animating the face blur and opacity now that I know how.
