Hi,
Mostly those errors are not indicators that you need more ram however with only 512 I would consider it strongly.
If not just to speed up your system.If you open utilities and activity monitor (called something like that…)
How much of your ram is free?How large is your project file?
Did you name your project something else after copying everything into a new one?Andreas

Hi,
select all your clips in the timeline, and choose “remove attributes” (option command V)
select “basic controls”.
If you have other controls or key frames in your “basic controls” these will also disappear, so you might want to make a copy of your timeline first…Andreas

Sorry it did not work out,
An other thought is to export your 100+ clips to XML and import them in a new project.
Then try to digitize.
Can´t promise you anything though…Hope this helps you out,

Trash your prefs might help.
I do not now whats causing these artifacts, however try to select your clip and delete in and out (if there are any) and then drag your clip from your browser to your logg and capture window. Then take away any “-@*.+&” in your file name. (As you’ve done before: maybe you also should try to change your in/out with a few frames.)
Log your clip and try to digitize.this is not a tested solution but maybe a workaround…

when a digital video signal delivers only “0” (zeroes) it gives a green image or if id delivers “1”s the colour of the signal is -

You can create your own effect in FCP – using your FX builder right in FCP, however that’s tricky and takes time and skill in code writing.
The easier way is to customise an effect: make your personal tweaks and art. Then drag your filter / transition from your sequence to your favorites bin.
Or you can even create a separate project for your effects and save them there. That way they don -

try making a few clips in FC and Export them as EDL, then open your EDL file in excell, then you see the FCP standard.
Open the EDL from media 100 and see what the differences are.
I dont know how many changes you can do in media 100 regarding to how it exports EDL.hope this is of some help

You say its a consert you are editing, if its an option; try reference exporting one song at the time.
either with in and outs or separate your timeline in to many smal timelines “song 1”, “song 2”, …and select all of them in the browser,
there you can export using compressor.good luck

So edit on Avid then.
Ive been an Avid editor, but edited on FC for 4years now, and was going back to avid for a project. And Ive often said; “this and that is better on Avid”. However after that project i wont mention Avid again…

You either have to redigitize/import or recompress to a mutual codec.
If recompressing is your choice, use either Media managers recompress or “Compressor”.
the best flow is to only recompress your hdx material to match your sdx material, or opposite.
It sounds that your not sure how your material is “interpreted” – If so, choose a clip from your HDX material and ctrl click and choose reveal in finder. Open it in Quick time and choose “show film info” – your codec are revealed. Do the same with your SDX material.Be sure to set your sequense preset settings to the same as your material, make a new sequense and try to drop your material on to it.
