Firstly maybe I should have started in DV!

Im am editing a concert which is 2 hours long.

Shot on sony 1080i. I have just compleated editing

using Mac book pro 2 gigs, FCP 5.1

However now here is the fun part

Can I downconvert in real-time to burn it to my DVD/HDD machine?

    The other way..
When I try to export a QT reference file its giving me 10 hours of waiting
file export qt, switch off make self contained movie…. I left it on last night exporting and it crashed

How can I get this file into IDVD and burn it?

    Any thoughts would be appriciated

    Thanks

    Paul

You say its a consert you are editing, if its an option; try reference exporting one song at the time.
either with in and outs or separate your timeline in to many smal timelines “song 1”, “song 2”, …and select all of them in the browser,
there you can export using compressor.

    good luck
    Andreas
