Have you even seen in your Final Cut if its possible?
Effects tab, under perspective you find “mirror” effect.
or search for it in the effects tab-> apple +F -> type in “mirror”

or do a Goole search before you post next time…

    better luck next time.

    Hi,

Maby I did not explain thoroughly enough, so:
where are your media files? – Audio/Video + Render files.
Are they located on your Lacie disk?

Delete all your render files, Audio and Video.
(if you do not now where they are – go to File – system settings and see what path they are set to.)

    Empty Trash.

    Try to launch again.

    Does it come past 3%?

If not: disconnect your lacie disks and start up your reluctant project.

    Do you come past 3%now?

If not: do you have any stills, music, misplaced render files stored on your local HD? – Move them to your Lacie drive, delete the originals and disconnect your Lacie disk and launch your project once more.

If You manage to launch your project 100% then do a “SAVE AS” and name it something else.

Now reconnect bin after bin or Sequence after sequence until everything is online.

If its a particular file you can not reconnect or makes your project crash, then you have found a corrupt media file.

Delete the media files for that clip/sequence/bin or what ever you find crashes your project – and re digitize the tape.

    Good Luck!

    Hi,

Change the name of your media destinations : renderfiles, capture scratch, stills folder, music folder.

Change the name of the folder one at the time and launch your project. If it opens after you changed the name of the renderfiles allocation you delete all your renderfiles and re render. If not, make your clips offline – and if you can open up the project: reconnect a sequence or bin at the time until you find the damaged files…

(you can also try to delete your thumbnail and waveform cache- although unlikely)

    Best regards Andreas

February 11, 2008 at 9:02 pm in reply to: FCP crashes after applying filter

    Hi,

What material are you applying the filter to?
Does it happen to other clips?
Is it somthing extra with this clip? (fx plugg filters, reverse, speed changes etc)

Media file could be corrupt or you are using a codec like “Photo Jpeg” or “DV”
If so, try to redigitize/export to – uncompressed 10bit 4.2.2

Nice if you give some more info in your first post
    Good luck,
    Andreas

February 11, 2008 at 8:54 pm in reply to: mp3->aiff droplet or applescript

    Hi Andreas

Nice that “TOO MUCH TOO SOON” worked out for you;-)
Ive had the same issue with mp3 to aiffs with dropplet.
The solution is: instead of using a aiff preset – use Quicktime movie and modify it- dissable video and set audio extention to .aiff

Im working on a Xsan – and all the clients have the same dropplett in the shortcut area to the left in the Finderwindow. You can set destination either to a “converted mp3s” folder – or “same as original”

    Works swell.
Ive altso an “from mp3” extention to the filename. (in case of hickups)
and you can dissable the “show at launch” window. so everything is automated.

    Lykke til!

    Hi Shane!

Do you suggest that i digitize directly in Quicktime? Because I have Quicktime 7.1.3 installed.
And if Quicktime 7 handles 4 tracks – why don’t FCP Firewireprotocol? any idea?

    Thank You Shane!

    Hi,

What drive are your autosave set to?
I’m working on a Xsan, and with autosave set to the Xsan Ive seen the same problem. With the autosave folder set to the local disk it behaves nice.
