Aoutosave Problem
Hello
Aoutosave is not making copies as set in user preferences. It just makes copies randomly. I have done all the software updated as recomended. So many times when fcp quits or hags it results in to lost of hours of work. Its happening with fcp 5.1 and 6 too.
Anybody with same problem? Any suggestions?

It’s not a rampant problem, so it’s more likely your system’s installation causing you the problems… or media files that are corrupt somehow…
Post more about your workflow, and how long it’s been since you rebuilt your startup disk from the ground up…

Hi,
What drive are your autosave set to?
I’m working on a Xsan, and with autosave set to the Xsan Ive seen the same problem. With the autosave folder set to the local disk it behaves nice.Andreas

I lost a day’s work because I had multiple projects open and it only autosaved the one project that was “in the foreground”, if you will (i.e. the project whose bin was currently chosen).
Uggh!
