Hi Hamster,
Good thorough work!
Ive experienced this issue before on mp3s and 44,1 audio in a 48K project editing Pal SD.
Using clip enable/ctrl + B refreshed my clips to play correctly a while so that might replace your reinserting option.
My solution was to make a droplet in compressor and convert to 48 16bit .aiffbut i don’t now if that helps you out, however i can help you to defrag:
use Terminal:
https://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Xsan/1.1/en/c3xs18.htmlLong shot:
another thing you might try is to select all clips in your sequence, modify – “make sequence clips independent” and copy all the clips into a new sequence in a new project called something else…can

You can reach me at andreas.karoliussen@gmail.com
And Thank you Bob – Ill try the XML2 text and see if it can do what i need.
You’ve speared me a few gray hairs,
Thank you, Andreas -

August 28, 2007 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Audio Drift Round Triping through Pro ToolsHi,
It sounds like Sample Bit Depth and Sample rate doesn’t match…
But if you are sure you have it correct i can only give you a tip that i always use:
make a 2 frame “blip” in both video and audio 2 sec before AND after your movie.
make it out of colour bar or a white frame + test tone BEFORE you export to OMF.
And if you use video in Pro tools you can see if your transfer is successful.
I always keep the “blips” until I export back from Pro Tools.Don’t now if this is to any help to you but I hope you get rid of your drifting.

Hi,
“Out of memory errors are often related to corrupted clips, renders, and/or CYMK colorspace still images”
1)Delete all your renders files and rerender.
if that does not help:
2)If you have any stills – try to change the name of their location and open your project.if that does not help you probably have a corrupt mediafile:
3)Change the name of your projects capture Scratch folder to “___new”
open your project and now you can reconnect bin after bin/sequence after sequence – untill you find the corrupt file and recapture it.Another workaround is to devide your sequense in smal parts and export them out one bit at the time…
Hope this helps you out,
Andreas -
Hi Spud,
Deleting your Audio Render files fixes you problem:
Look in “System Settings” and see where your Audio Render Files location are and delete them in Finder.Andreas

Hi,
A few things to try.
Trash your prefs (google fcp rescue, this great app will do it for you)
or
Try opening up your last autosave file.If that does not work you might have a corrupt file somewhere.
Try deleting all your render files and open you project.
If that does not work out you can change the name of your capture folder to “___NEW”
Then your project should open up with all your files offline.
Then you can start to relink bin after bin. Until you find the defiant clip. Recapture that clip/tape and you are up and running again.Hope this works out for you,
Andreas

Hi,
A free way is to keyframe scale, rotation and size.
Ive used it for some custum made shock effects, and you can copy and paste them from clip to clip (copy clip and paste atributes to the new clip).Dont know if its what you are looking for?
the best, Andreas.

August 21, 2007 at 8:00 pm in reply to: can I export without rendering? Is there quality differences?Hi Todd,
Your clients abnormality might be his sequence render settings.
And the answer to you question depends on what you are exporting to, the workflow you use and the quality you want.1) Making a quick DVD for offline screening:
render all in FC – export reference quicktime movie and compress in Compressor using a droplet. However this gives another contrast range then:
2) Making a DVD with the “send to compressor” option.
which re-renders everything. More accurate Ive heard because you have render and compression in One process.3) If you are doing a export for Internet or something to send for your graphics department there is no point in rendering it before you are exporting, unless you have to render it anyway because you are going to edit further on.
Nice to now if someone have any other opinions,

Hi, Thomaxper.
Welcome to FCworld,
Auto save error comes when FC believes it has no write privileges to that directory (although it has…) Always alright to check though.
A restart usually fixes the problem on my mac however deleting prefs and do a repair in disc utility’s is sometimes a necessity. Doing a “Save As” might fix your problem, however have not tried that myself yet.and:
Thanks to Ken Stone that made this!:
