5.1.4 – won’t boot-Autosave vault error
Hi There-
My 5.1.4 (running on a G4) was working last night. Upon booting it up this morning I changed scratch disks and when it tried to complete, it gave the error message that my autosave vault does not have read/write acess. Of course I made sure that anything named “autosave vault” does have read/write access- it won’t finish booting so that I can change the folder in the System settings. (I of course did a complete restart) What can I do?

Repair Permissions using Disk Utility before doing anything else.

Trash your FCP prefs and you can change your scratch disks.

Thank you so much! I’m up and running. Of course the prefs! I haven’t been on FCP for a year so thanks for the reminder.
