If I render the project or export the QuickTime it works fine…. But I\’ve to prepare a lesson about sending files from FCP to motion and back…it is for an exam at Apple (T3) and I\’ve to demonstrate it without render or export…

1- smoothcam calculation only between IN and OUT point and not on the entire CLIP (not sending the clip to motion)

2- in the default transition parameters must be the transition alignment too (start on edit-end on edit and so on)

3- if I send a clip from timeline to motion the clip become a .motn FILE and there must be the option to retransform the .motn FILE to clip again in the timeline (not only with UNDO) it should be like COLLAPSE-UNCOLLAPSE CLIP in a multiclip timeline

4- we all need a good plugin to work with SUBTITLES that could be used and imported in dvd studio pro too…an essential function must be APPLY TO STREAM like dvd studio pro

    dear friends,

when I capture with snow leopard in apple prores the finder doesn’t recognize te clips as video clips and I cannot change the default application in the file info….also the preview in the finder doesn’t appear and i see all te clip as text files…..

since quicktime has radically changed, i reinstall the old one at:
    https://support.apple.com/kb/HT3678?viewlocale=en_US

and yesterday I uploaded the player for snow leopard here:
    https://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/quicktimeplayer7formacosxv106.html

but nothing has changed…any ideas…? Suggestions?

January 22, 2009 at 4:22 pm in reply to: HELP !! must RE-RENDER already RENDERED clips…

tis is the kind of message….and the clip was correctly stabilized before rendering…from this message I cannot see the clip until…
To see the clip again I have to erase the “mtdf” file realated to that clip…

  • dear John,
thank you for your answer, unfortunately my workflow is different…usually I work capturing the whole tape and giving the unique name to the first clip….finalcut gives the names with numbers to the clips every start-stop and uses its criteria (wrong)….
