    dear friends, I’ve a problem….

Yesterday I captured one HDV tape in apple intermediate codec format…

1-I cannot see preview in finder
2- cannot import in a final cut project…appears the following messasge:

file error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown

the files are assigned to be opened with text edit and from file infos I cannot change the application

maybe something happened after fcp upgrade to 7 ?

    suggestions…?

Why are you using Apple Intermediate Codec in FCP 7?

Its basically legacy support for the old workaround when FCP did not have native support for HDV.

Use Pro Res or work natively.
