<p>I have a station Z170X skylake i7-6700K with a amd rx 6900 XT (16Gb) and 32Gb of RAM. My system is on a NVMe and I use SDD disks for editing.<br />At the moment, I am editing 4K mp4 clips on a 1080 timeline and I have lags and delays every time I hit the space bar and every 3-4 seconds during playback. <p>Let&#8217;s say I have a 60s long clip. I want to make an edit 30s long with it. <br />I want to start with a normal speed for the 10 first seconds of the clip and to end with a normal speed with the last 10 seconds of if.</p>

<p>Why did you pick the RADEON 6900XT GPU ? </p>
<p>The AMD 5700XT have better performances.<br />As for the CPU, DVR and all other video softwares rely much more on the GPU than on the CPU so I am not sure you&#8217;d feel any difference there.</p>
<p>I work on both Mac and PC and have never really felt any differences that would make me swap from one OS to the other.<br />The&hellip;</p>

<p>I have bought a set of 200 Luts that I have installed in Davinci. </p>
<p>So far I set the lut for a particular clip (generally I do this on a timeline&#8217;s node) right clicking on the node &gt; Luts &gt; 3D lut &gt; Myluts &gt; and I then I pick up a lut.</p>
<p>To go from one LUT to the other that way is just a nightmare. Is there a quicker way to go from one LUT to&hellip;</p>

<p>Well you may have answered your question there. I&#8217;ve had many issues with audio like the one you are describing. I usually unload and reload the project (or quit and open DR again) and that solves it.</p>

I have a movie that I need to drastically grade so I really need to retrieve each clip the way they were in the original edit. So instead of going manually frame by frame to cut between the clips, is there a function in Resolve that could help me do that ?</p>

I don&#8217;t have to complain. It worked well. Things is that now to upgrade to Big Sur I need to change to an AMD card (since Nvidia and Apple are still at war).</p>

<p>On a 4 hour long clip (1280&#215;720-25fps-32KHz mono) I have done some color grading + some cropping and resizing with a still as background, I have done the export scaling up to 1920&#215;1080 keeping the same codec with no audio.</p>
<p>Once done, I imported the export back into the project and the clip is shorter. </p>

<p>I am using DR15 so excuse me if this is available in later version, but I&#8217;ve done a mix on a timeline which I&#8217;d like to reuse on another timeline (with the same track arrangement), is there a way to exort (?) the fairlight mix and add it to a timeline ? <br />Thanks for your input.</p>

<p>Cutting within a clip, removing a some of it and deleting the newly created gap in clicking in the empty space and deleting is a pretty usual move. The condition being that no other clips overlaps that space, every other later clip should move back.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know why, and that might be due to a Conform operation I did on the main video track&hellip;</p>

Here is why the first method might have not worked. I keep doing your method thought, even if I would have loved to at least have a shortcut for the clip&gt;Replace With Media Clip 🙂</p>

<p>I have tried your method David but it does not replace anything.</p>
<p>Edit: actually, it works when selecting one media at a time but not with all the clips selected. I guess this is a (long) way.</p>
<p>As for why certain clips do not conform, it appears that all cut after 01:00&#8230; are properly replaced but the ones below 01:00 do not.</p>

<p>The TC of the clip from my friend started at 01: while mine started at 00:</p>
<p>So here is what I have tried (without success).</p>
<p>I have replace the clip from the media tab and then in the attribute, I have change the TC back to 00:.</p>
<p>It actually works for around 2/3 of my cuts but not all of them. Any idea why and if not how can I&hellip;</p>

<p>I have been working on long clip making  multiples cuts. A friend of mine has used the same clip to insert some  graphics so when finished I wanted to Replace Selected clip from the  Media tab with the one from my friend. <p>This is a simple question. I have two cams on the same subject and I will create gaps in the highest track to see the lowest now and then. As I need to do this for about 50 edits, I was wondering if there were a way to create automatic fade in and fade out  to my highest video track. </p>
