  • select clip without media selection.

    Hi there,

One thing I do quite often is to conform with a selected clip in the media pool. Often also, I conform many clips with one same file in the media pool. As I can’t conform various clips at once, I have to do it one by one.

There is something quite annoying when doing so: when selecting a clip in the timeline to be conformed, Resolve automatically selects it in the media pool — therefore deselecting the clip I wanted to conform it with.

In other words, I have 10 clips in the timeline I want to conform with the same clip A.

I select clip 1 in the timeline, I select clip A in the media pool. I conform. Okay. Next.

I select clip 2 in the timeline, I need to select clip A in the media pool again because Resolve selected clip 2 automatically.

When both clips are not in the same bin, it takes up to 3 or 4 clicks to select the right one again.

Any idea how I could bypass this behavior?

    Thanks.

    Alex

In DaVinci Resolve > Preferences > User > Editing: check off “Always highlight current clip in the media pool”
