wiggle(*,**)
*the number of pixels you want the “wiggle” to encompass
**the number of times/second the distance will be changedI’m sorry if you already know this, but I picked it up from Aharon Rabinowitz’s tutorial, and I think it could help those who don’t know it.

You could also try taking your saturation down, and darkening midtones and highlights in addition to overlaying a very dark blue solid. And maybe add some grain?

If you have a 3D program, all you need to do is render the frames to an image sequence (e.g.: .tif sequence) and then import that image sequence in After Effects the same way you would import video. You are better off animating the balls in your 3D program rather than trying to do something in After Effects. It will be much faster and easier.

Trust me it works… I have done it, and the quality was higher than 99% of all other stuff on youtube.
I used Sorenson Squeeze to compress my .flv.Thanks,

The BEST way to do it is to render to a .flv at 425×350 resolution. Youtube will not even further compress your video, and I am 95% positive that the video will be under 50 MB. Try a 64 MB MP3 audio compression with a video bitrate of 700 bps. This works pretty well…

The green screen should be evenly lit across the whole thing, and as close to one single shade as possible.

Why don’t masks look good enough? I would think it would work very well, if you made a rectangular mask a little smaller than your banner and then just feathered the edges a little bit… no?

I read on thinksecret that Adobe Photoshop CS3 IS going to contain some 3D object import capability… Maybe that could be a hint?

Hello Barend,
I just took a look at your website. Your work is great! As I am going to college next year and I feel I’d like to do something similar to what you have done with your career… Of course this is only one aspect of it (and not the most important), but how much does it pay to be in a position similar to yours?Thank you so much for your time,
Alexander Gao

I’m just wondering (this is a question about the pen, assuming you’re still on the stock pen)… Do you like using the buttons on the pen? I find them really hard to press without re-orienting my hand. If you do use them a lot, how exactly are you holding your pen? Do you press the buttons with your index finger or thumb?
Thanks,
