I haven’t looked at the tutorial, but maybe if there are nested comps or precomps, you need to have the keep full resolution box checked and make sure you’re not on half quality or something. I don’t know about the rainbow though.

How exactly did they get a complete BG plate on a moving shot that has a hole where the board is roto’ed out?

    Thanks,

And make sure that the audio is actually turned ON in the RAM preview box.

  • For a high-quality export, I like Quicktime Animation codec. For smaller size, compress that into something like Quicktime Sorenson 3 or Quicktime H.264. But again, context means a lot… if the video is for web, maybe try flash. If you are going to edit it on a windows machine, avi may be your only bet. It all depends.

Wow. I didn’t know that. So is it not equivalent to do a simple “desaturate” and then manually adjust contrast, etc.?

Thing is, where do you get the pictures from? (I won’t be able to get to outer space any time soon!)

Couldn’t you do something like copy the mask shape out of illustrator, and then just paste that onto a solid in AE as a mask, and keyframe the mask shape with different letter masks out of illustrator? I haven’t tested it, but it seems like it could work?
