    It stands for streaming SIMD Extension 2, and it has to do with 3D capabilities of your processor I believe.

    Maybe you have the (i dont know what its called) “snap” property of the scrubber on. To turn it off, click one of those little green buttons in the top right of the timeline

  • or use a garbage mask. It’s super easy. I just did a short 15 minute film using garbage masks, and it looked great. However, if your lighting was not the same, you might get a bit of a headache color correcting one to look like the other. Also, try feathering the mask a bit for a sure clean shot.

    just a question: Why would compressor have trouble with things like color correction, etc. if the above poster exported to quicktime BEFORE going to compressor?

    i’d go for sorenson 3 q.t. or H.264 MP4 codec. Thet both have great quality and small file suzes. H.264 can be ostreaming.ptimized for

  • this matters because the bitrate is on a per-second basis, and that means you’re getting the same amount of bits per second in both of the videos (basically, you are just cramming more info into the smaller one that is not needed.)

    First things first: Don’t expect anyone to memorize what error 600 is. Second, you could probably find that error in the help section of the fcp app, or on google. Take your pick.
