Considering there must have been thousands shipped by now I’m not so sure that there is much here actually.
I know AJA make great products, I’ve been a satisfied IO user for years and my guys tell me that my IOhd arrived today.
I was assuming/hoping that no (or little) news on this forum meant that most people were just getting on and using them without issue, but confirmation would have been good 😉

I’ve had a lot of success starting in LiveType then bringing those clips into Motion. But be aware that Motion interprets the LT alpha incorrectly as straight rather than premultiplied black.

I’m sure you’re right Steve. I reckon the only way Per would be realtime capture via SDI.

I suppose it’s a question of size rather than balance. My 700 usually has a heavy FujiA10x4.8 on the front so it too ends up very front heavy.
It was the stories relating to the FS4 here on teh web that worried me, mind you having said that I didn’t think the camera got enough use to justify the expense although since new I fancied tapeless.
It’s P2 and XDcam mainly for me now.

We obviously think alike Tom, I bought a PDW350 last year – love it but don’t have much call for the HD bit of it yet. Doesn’t the FS3 on your DV700 make it a bit unwieldy? I was temped some time ago but chickened out with all the FS horror stories.

Surprised you’re so adamant Walter, especially as you’re working DVCproHD.
The other advantage the Motu has for us AC/DC types (read PC&Mac) is that the motu device is bisexual!
